The applicants must have well knowledge in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing in English. English language is the official language for conversation during fellowship training course. Note: Holding a TOEFL or IELTS certificate is preferable.
It's advised that applicants hold an official certificate of attending in a Research Methods Workshops of approved internal or overseas training centers.
All applicants must sit for entrance exam based on the Rules of Iran Ministry of Health.

During the Fellowship Course
Fellows must not work in any private clinic during their fellowship course.
Fellows must be present fulltime in the hospital.
Fellows have to consider medical ethics during their practice, training and learning.
Since fellows are being evaluated by other trainees (residents) during the course to keep the training level in a high quality, active participation in training the residents is mandatory.
Fellows must have an active participation in researches, presenting proposals and preparing articles.
Fellows have to attend in the Eye department morning conferences and Thursdays, teaching session.
Fellows are advised to be active in giving speeches, lectures and presenting posters in national and international meetings.
All patients must be visited by fellows in the clinic. Making a good treatment plan is also one of the fellows' responsibilities.
Fellows must visit the scheduled patients in advance to control and check all the requirements which are necessary for the surgery.
Fellows have to give reports of their activities and participations in the clinic and medical researches in 3 months and12 months of their program and at the end of the program.
A computerized log book must be prepared and presented for approval every 3 months during the program. (Related files will be provided)
Final interview will be based on fellow's achieved knowledge, training activities, performed or performing research projects, log book (regarded to number of performed surgeries and procedures) and the report of eye department. Duration of fellowship program will be 18 – 24 months based on the interview. Issuance of final certificate is based on the final interview.
