Rassoul Akram Hospital is the largest general hospital of Iran University of Medical Sciences which covers all specialties and subspeciallity groups. This hospital has a well equipped imaging (CT and MRI) center, and an active pathology and immunology sections as well. It's recommended that oculoplastic fellows become completely familiar with these sections.

Among all specialties sections, the eye section has one of the most active and outstanding medical group which serve the highest numbers of patients in the clinics and operating rooms.

37 beds.

Theatre:

Six to seven active theatres every day, 5 days a week.

Clinics:

Eight clinics are serving patients every day.

Eye Research Center:

This unit is available for researchers every day, 6 days a week.

Para clinic:

Consists diagnosis and treatments systems such as A & B Echography, UBM, ICG & Fluoresceine angiography, Slit photography, Image net, OCT, SLO, Excimer Laser, YAG Laser and Argon Lase which are active every day, 5 days a week.

Library:

Four large libraries are available with a great archive of medical books and journals located in the Eye department, Eye research center, the hospital & in the main building of Iran University of Medical Sciences. Internet connection is also available in above centers.
